New York, New York—Popular blog Nervous Breakdown would like to announce the launch of its first spinoff site, The Blair Necessities, located at http://www.theblairnecessities.blogspot.com! Inspired by and borne of Nervous Breakdown's regular feature, The Coffee Talk Companion, The Blair Necessities is a new blog that will provide a specific platform for all posts related to Lisa Whelchel who played Blair Warner on the 1980s' TV phenomenon, The Facts of Life. Ms. Whelchel keeps her own Web site, and the goal of The Blair Necessities will be to provide commentary on her words of wisdom.

The Blair Necessities will be updated on a case-by-case basis rather than on a daily basis. As well, chances are if something is posted to The Blair Necessities on a certain day, Nervous Breakdown will remain post-free. Of course, this is an untried endeavor for the editor of Nervous Breakdown, so nothing is set in stone. About The Blair Necessities, he had this to say:

"As I have become more and more busy with non-blog-related work, a major goal was to decrease the amount of posting that occurred on Nervous Breakdown. There was even genuine talk of shutting it down forever. It was decided, then, that a logical next step in the process of cutting back on blog-related jobs was to, obviously, create another blog."
