Um, I used to work for a Senator from Missouri. And, I have two clients in the state. I would say that overwhelmingly, that's how the locals pronounce it.
Sorry, I have to disagree Diner Girl. I live in St. Louis, and was born here, and we do not say "Missourah". I do ocassionally hear someone from rural Missouri say that, but it is rare. Of course I'm pretty out of touch with rural Missouri, so perhaps I'm wrong and it is used more often there. St. Louis is a completely different place than say Springfield or Branson, and we prefer it that way.
