The NB Book Club: "Fantasia on Fantasia."

Today, I'd like to talk to the ladies. Oh, fellas, you're cool! Well, that's not exactly true. Fellas, you're welcome to play along, as well, as the NB Book Club devotes its entire Tuesday to...

Life Is Not a Fairy Tale by Fantasia (Barrino).

We got our dirty hands on a press copy of the book yesterday, so we figured we'd spotlight it as the first book in the NB Book Club! Since we don't actually read books, we're just going to flip to a random page and quote some copy for you. Should any of the copy appear in italics, as exemplified by our first sentence in this post, that means Fantasia has taken a song lyric and applied it to what she is writing about (in our case it was the first line of the 28-minute speech Natalie Cole delivers at the top of her astonishing "I'm Catching Hell"). True or not true? True.

So, please enjoy our first of what we hope to be two or three installments of the NB Book Club. And read along if you have your own copy—we'll give the page number we quote from.

Now, onto Life Is Not a Fairy Tale by FANTASIA!

Fantasia can't read, but yet has written a book. I think we should all applaud Fantasia for her amazing triumph!

I am SO bored.
