I'm shocked. I guess they never really stated that it was a remake but the fact that they deny knowing about the clonus horror is total bullshit. Apart from the new, useless special affects the films are completely identical. From a writing standpoint, the story behind Clonus was an original sci-fi plot that was ahead of its time though jammed in a terrible movie that, as a child, gave me the willies. Michael Bay and friends should be beaten with reeds, after their movie bombs. But please, save Scarlett. Christ, I'm a geek.
